“Tussen die Maroelas” means “between the Maroela trees”, and our property is beautifully shaded by these wonderful plants. This privately owned guesthouse is centrally situated in Meerensee, Richards Bay, on the north coast of KwaZulu Natal.

We are close to the main roads, beaches, shopping centres, lake, forest, golf course and country club, and within easy reach of all the region’s fabulous attractions.

Your hosts are the owners, Susan and Eric Venter, with additional love and entertainment provided by our Border Collie, Hannibal  (regrettably conditional on guests not bringing their pets.)

We have many regular clients, both business and pleasure, and an equally warm welcome awaits newcomers. We especially love bird watchers! Our garden is a haven for a wide variety of birdlife, and peaceful niches beneath
the spreading trees lend themselves to the delights of ornithology in a relaxed setting.
